أبدى مدرب منتخب الأرجنتين «ليونيل سكالوني» رضاه التام عن جاهزية منتخب بلاده قبل أقل من أسبوع من انطلاق مشوار الدفاع عن لقب كأس العالم 2026، إثر فوزه في اللقاء الودي على آيسلندا 3-0.
وقال المدرب في المؤتمر الصحفي بعد المباراة: “كان لقاء صعباً لأننا على بعد أقل من أسبوع من الظهور الأول، وكنا نريد أن ينهي جميع اللاعبين المباراة بشكل جيد، وخط الدفاع أثبت اليوم قدرته على مواجهة الخصوم وأزال الكثير من الشكوك حول ما قد يحتاجه الفريق في مباريات المونديال”.
وأشاد سكالوني بروح اللاعبين وتركيزهم في البروفة الأخيرة، وقال: «رؤية لاعبين بهذه الجودة وهم يركضون يعطيك إحساساً بأن الفريق موجود ورسالة للجماهير تؤكد أننا هنا وبخير وسنقاتل حتى اللحظة الأخيرة».
Argentina’s coach “Lionel Scaloni” expressed his complete satisfaction with the readiness of his national team less than a week before the start of their journey to defend the title at the 2026 World Cup, following their 3-0 victory in a friendly match against Iceland.
In the press conference after the match, the coach said: “It was a tough match because we are less than a week away from our first appearance, and we wanted all the players to finish the game well. The defense proved today its ability to face opponents and removed many doubts about what the team may need in the World Cup matches.”
Scaloni praised the players’ spirit and focus in the final rehearsal, saying: “Seeing players of such quality running gives you a feeling that the team is present and sends a message to the fans confirming that we are here, doing well, and we will fight until the last moment.”
