ارتفعت أسعار الذهب اليوم، بدعم انخفاض الدولار وزيادة الطلب على أصول الملاذ الآمن.
وارتفع الذهب في المعاملات الفورية 0.3% إلى 5183.85 دولار للأوقية (الأونصة) بحلول الساعة 0258 بتوقيت جرينتش. وسجّلت أسعار الذهب يوم الثلاثاء أعلى مستوى لها في أكثر من ثلاثة أسابيع.
وانخفضت العقود الأمريكية الآجلة للذهب تسليم أبريل 0.5% إلى 5200.50 دولار.
وفي المعادن النفيسة الأخرى، انخفضت الفضة في المعاملات الفورية 0.6% إلى 88.84 دولار للأوقية بعد أن ارتفعت إلى أعلى مستوى لها في ثلاثة أسابيع أمس الأربعاء.
وانخفض البلاتين بالمعاملات الفورية 0.5% إلى 2274.16 دولار للأوقية، في حين تراجع البلاديوم 1.4% إلى 1770.05 دولار. وبلغ كلا المعدنين في الجلسة السابقة أعلى مستوياتهما في ثلاثة أسابيع.
Gold prices rose today, supported by a decline in the dollar and increased demand for safe-haven assets.
Gold increased in spot transactions by 0.3% to $5183.85 per ounce by 02:58 GMT. Gold prices recorded their highest level in more than three weeks on Tuesday.
U.S. gold futures for April delivery fell by 0.5% to $5200.50.
In other precious metals, silver in spot transactions decreased by 0.6% to $88.84 per ounce after reaching its highest level in three weeks yesterday, Wednesday.
Platinum in spot transactions fell by 0.5% to $2274.16 per ounce, while palladium dropped by 1.4% to $1770.05. Both metals reached their highest levels in three weeks in the previous session.
