حجز فريق «العربي» من جدة مقعده في منافسات دور الـ16 لبطولة «جدة 2026» لكرة القدم، المقامة على ملعب القرية الأولمبية، بعد انتصاره 3-0 أمس (الثلاثاء) على فريق «يونايتد» للاعبين السابقين، ضمن ختام مباريات المجموعة (H) التي يتصدرها «العربي» برصيد 6 نقاط، فيما حل فريق «الوداد الطائفي» في المركز الثاني بـ3 نقاط.
من جهته، تأهل فريق «حرس الحدود» بمنطقة مكة المكرمة لدور الـ16 بعد تعادله (1-1) أمام فريق شركة «أرامكو» السعودية ضمن مباريات المجموعة (D) التي يتصدرها «الحرس» بـ4 نقاط مقابل نقطتين لـ«أرامكو» في الوصافة.
وتنطلق اليوم (الأربعاء) منافسات دور الـ16 للبطولة عند الـ11:00 مساءً، بالمباراة الأولى التي تجمع فريق «وزارة الرياضة» بمنطقة مكة المكرمة بنظيره «شرطة محافظة جدة» ؛ وتأهل الأول بصفته متصدر المجموعة (A) برصيد 4 نقاط، فيما حل الثاني وصيفاً للمجموعة (B) بـ3 نقاط.
ومن المتوقع أن تكون مباراة مثيرة باعتبارها أولى مباريات خروج المغلوب في البطولة، ولا مجال للتعادل؛ فإما مواصلة الحلم نحو اللقب أو الرحيل.
يُذكر أن الفائز سيتأهل لدور الـ8 لمواجهة المنتصر من مباراة فريق «الحرس الوطني» بالقطاع الغربي (متصدر المجموعة B) أمام فريق «إدارة التعليم» بمحافظة جدة (وصيف المجموعة A)، يوم الثلاثاء القادم (24 فبراير).

On its part, the “Border Guard” team from the Makkah region qualified for the Round of 16 after drawing (1-1) against the “Saudi Aramco” team in the matches of Group (D), which is topped by “the Guard” with 4 points compared to 2 points for “Aramco” in second place.
The Round of 16 matches of the tournament will kick off today (Wednesday) at 11:00 PM, with the first match bringing together the “Ministry of Sports” team from the Makkah region and its counterpart “Jeddah Governorate Police”; the former qualified as the leader of Group (A) with 4 points, while the latter finished as runner-up in Group (B) with 3 points.
This match is expected to be exciting as it is the first knockout match in the tournament, and there is no room for a draw; it is either the continuation of the dream towards the title or elimination.
It is worth mentioning that the winner will qualify for the Round of 8 to face the winner of the match between the “National Guard” team from the western sector (leader of Group B) and the “Education Administration” team from Jeddah (runner-up of Group A), next Tuesday (February 24).
Football fans in the “Neighborhood Clubs” are gearing up for an exciting conclusion when the anticipated match kicks off at 12:50 AM on Thursday, bringing together the “Legend” team and its counterpart “Noor Academy” in the derby of the children of Makkah in the second match of the Round of 16.
The “Legend” team qualified as the leader of Group (E) with 6 points, while “Noor Academy” reached the same round as the runner-up of Group (F) with 3 points.
It is worth noting that the winner will qualify for the Round of 8 to face the winner of the match between “University Peace” from Jeddah (leader of Group F) and “BH” coming from Al-Qunfudhah (runner-up of Group E), next Tuesday (February 24).
