حققت لاعبة الريشة الطائرة بنادي النصر ياسمين عبدالجواد الميدالية الذهبية ضمن منافسات بطولة المملكة للناشئين 2025، التي استضافتها الصالة الرياضية في استاد الأمير فيصل بن فهد بالرياض على مدار 3 أيام، بمشاركة 85 لاعباً ولاعبة مثلوا 28 نادياً سعودياً.
وعبّرت ياسمين عبدالجواد لـ«عكاظ» عن مشاعرها بعد التتويج، قائلة: «شعرت بفرحة لا توصف، وكنت أتمنى وقتها أن يكون الكل حاضراً ويشاركني هذه الفرحة؛ ليروا فخري بإنجازاتي». وأكدت أن للأسرة دوراً محورياً في مسيرتها الرياضية، مضيفة: «للأسرة دور مهم جداً، خصوصاً من الجانب النفسي، وكل مرحلة أمر بها نشعر بمسؤولية أكبر وحاجة لدعم أكبر من أجل الاستمرارية والتميّز».
وشددت لاعبة النصر على أهمية الدعم الأسري، قائلة: «دعم الأبناء مسؤولية كبيرة، وتركهم أو عدم مشاركتهم يسبب إحباطاً وقد يؤدي إلى رغبة في الانسحاب. نصيحتي لكل أسرة: حتى وإن وجدتم عدم رغبة من أبنائكم بتواجدكم أثناء مشاركاتهم وبطولاتهم، فوجودكم مهم جداً ومؤثر نفسياً لهم وللكادر الإداري، فوجودكم قوة وسند، فلا تستهينوا بمشاعرهم».
وعن أصعب لحظة في مشوار البطولة، أوضحت: «كانت لحظة الضغط والتوتر قبل إحدى المباريات المهمة، خصوصاً مع ارتفاع التوقعات، لكني حاولت تهدئة نفسي، وركزت على اللعب نقطة بنقطة، وقلت لنفسي إني تمرنت كثيراً وسأقدر أتجاوز». وأشارت إلى أهمية الدعم الفني والإعداد النفسي، قائلة: «كان لهما دور كبير جداً، الدعم النفسي عزز ثقتي بنفسي، والإعداد الفني ساعدني أدخل كل مباراة وأنا عارفة إيش أبغى أسوي داخل الملعب».
وعن واقع الريشة الطائرة النسائية في السعودية، قالت: «أشوفها في تطور جميل وسريع، وفيه اهتمام واضح باللعبة وباللاعبات، والمرحلة القادمة تحتاج دعماً أكثر، وبطولات أكثر، وفرص احتكاك خارجية لاكتساب خبرة أكبر». وختمت حديثها قائلة: «الطموح لا يتوقف عند الذهبية، بل هي بداية جديدة، وأتطلع لمشاركات قارية وعالمية وتمثيل وطني بأفضل صورة».
والدة ياسمين لـ«عكاظ»: الميدالية رسالة بأن الطريق كان صحيحاً
من جهتها، أكدت والدة اللاعبة، الأخصائية الأسرية والاجتماعية دعاء زهران لـ«عكاظ»، أن الميدالية الذهبية تحمل قيمة معنوية كبيرة، وقالت: «بصراحة الميدالية تعني لي شيئاً كبيراً، ليس لأنها ذهبية فقط، بل لأنها نتيجة تعب طويل وتضحيات. أشعر أنها رسالة تؤكد أن الطريق كان صحيحاً، وأن كل الجهد لم يذهب سدى».
وفي ختام البطولة، تقدمت الدكتورة دعاء سامي زهران بالشكر لإدارة نادي النصر، وعلى رأسهم الأستاذ عبدالكريم الربيعة، وللمدربين، ولمسؤولة الفريق الأستاذة أميرة العرياني، على ما قدموه من جهود ودعم وتحفيز، أسهمت في تحقيق هذا الإنجاز، مؤكدة أن أبناء الوطن مثلوا السعودية خير تمثيل، مع التمنيات لهم بمزيد من النجاحات في بطولة النخبة المقبلة.
النصر يتصدر حصيلة الميداليات
وشهدت البطولة تألقاً لافتاً لنادي النصر، الذي حقق 3 ميداليات ذهبية، وميدالية فضية واحدة، وميدالية برونزية واحدة؛ إذ فاز بالمركز الأول زوجي بنات كل من ياسمين عبدالجواد والبتول المطيري، وبالمركز الأول فردي بنات رائدة محمد، وبالمركز الثالث فردي بنات البتول المطيري، كما حقق المركز الثاني زوجي أولاد اللاعبان يامن باشهاب وسعيد المطيري، إضافة إلى فوز عامر محمد بالمركز الأول فردي أولاد.
The badminton player from Al-Nassr Club, Yasmin Abdeljawad, won the gold medal in the Kingdom’s Junior Championship 2025, which was hosted at the sports hall in Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium in Riyadh over three days, with the participation of 85 male and female players representing 28 Saudi clubs.
Yasmin Abdeljawad expressed her feelings after the victory to “Okaz,” saying: “I felt an indescribable joy, and at that moment I wished everyone could be present to share this happiness with me; to see my pride in my achievements.” She emphasized that her family plays a crucial role in her sports journey, adding: “The family has a very important role, especially from a psychological perspective. At every stage I go through, we feel a greater responsibility and a need for more support to continue and excel.”
The Al-Nassr player stressed the importance of family support, saying: “Supporting children is a huge responsibility, and neglecting them or not participating can lead to frustration and may result in a desire to withdraw. My advice to every family is: even if you find your children reluctant to have you present during their competitions and championships, your presence is very important and psychologically impactful for them and the administrative staff. Your presence is a strength and support, so do not underestimate their feelings.”
Regarding the most challenging moment in the championship journey, she explained: “It was the moment of pressure and tension before one of the important matches, especially with the rising expectations, but I tried to calm myself and focused on playing point by point, telling myself that I had trained a lot and I would be able to get through.” She pointed out the importance of technical support and psychological preparation, saying: “They played a very significant role; psychological support boosted my self-confidence, and technical preparation helped me enter every match knowing what I wanted to do on the court.”
On the reality of women’s badminton in Saudi Arabia, she said: “I see it developing beautifully and rapidly, with clear interest in the game and the players. The next phase needs more support, more championships, and external exposure opportunities to gain greater experience.” She concluded her remarks by saying: “Ambition does not stop at the gold medal; it is a new beginning, and I look forward to continental and global participations, representing my country in the best way.”
Yasmin’s mother to “Okaz”: The medal is a message that the path was right
For her part, Yasmin’s mother, family and social specialist Dua Zahran, confirmed to “Okaz” that the gold medal carries great moral value, saying: “Honestly, the medal means a lot to me, not just because it is gold, but because it is the result of long effort and sacrifices. I feel it is a message confirming that the path was right and that all the effort was not in vain.”
At the end of the championship, Dr. Dua Sami Zahran expressed her gratitude to the management of Al-Nassr Club, led by Mr. Abdulkarim Al-Rubaie, to the coaches, and to the team manager Ms. Ameera Al-Aryani, for their efforts, support, and motivation that contributed to achieving this accomplishment, affirming that the nation’s children represented Saudi Arabia excellently, wishing them further success in the upcoming Elite Championship.
Al-Nassr tops the medal tally
The championship witnessed a remarkable performance from Al-Nassr Club, which achieved 3 gold medals, 1 silver medal, and 1 bronze medal; as Yasmin Abdeljawad and Batool Al-Mutairi won first place in the girls’ doubles, Raida Mohammed won first place in the girls’ singles, and Batool Al-Mutairi secured third place in the girls’ singles. Additionally, Yamen Bashahab and Saeed Al-Mutairi won second place in the boys’ doubles, while Amer Mohammed won first place in the boys’ singles.
