هدد الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب بفرض رسوم جمركية إضافية بنسبة 10% في الأول من فبراير القادم على الدنمارك، التي تسيطر على غرينلاند، إضافة إلى السويد، النرويج، فرنسا، ألمانيا، المملكة المتحدة، هولندا، وفنلندا، ما لم توافق هذه الدول على اتفاق لتسليم غرينلاند إلى الولايات المتحدة.
وأشار ترمب إلى أنه سيرفع هذه الرسوم إلى 25% في شهر يونيو القادم، إذا لم تمتثل هذه الدول. وتدفع جميع هذه الدول بالفعل نوعاً من الرسوم الجمركية منذ دخول رسوم يوم التحرير التي فرضها ترمب حيز التنفيذ في أغسطس 2025.
شراء غرينلاند
وقال في منشور على منصة «تروث سوشيال»:«ستظل هذه الرسوم مستحقة الدفع حتى يتم التوصل إلى اتفاق لشراء غرينلاند بالكامل».
ويأتي تهديد ترمب في الوقت الذي يجتمع فيه قادة العالم وكبار المديرين التنفيذيين في دافوس، سويسرا، لحضور المنتدى الاقتصادي العالمي.
ومن المتوقع أن يلقي ترمب كلمة أمام المؤتمر شخصياً الأربعاء القادم. ولطالما كان ترمب مهتماً بغرينلاند منذ ولايته الأولى، لكنه صعد من حدة خطابه منذ العملية الأمريكية في فنزويلا التي أسفرت عن اعتقال نيكولاس مادورو.
U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to impose an additional 10% tariff on Denmark, which controls Greenland, as well as Sweden, Norway, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Finland, unless these countries agree to a deal to transfer Greenland to the United States.
Trump indicated that he would raise these tariffs to 25% in June if these countries do not comply. All of these countries are already paying some form of tariffs since the implementation of the Liberation Day tariffs imposed by Trump in August 2025.
Purchasing Greenland
He stated in a post on the “Truth Social” platform: “These tariffs will remain due until an agreement is reached to purchase Greenland in its entirety.”
Trump’s threat comes at a time when world leaders and top executives are gathering in Davos, Switzerland, for the World Economic Forum.
Trump is expected to deliver a speech at the conference in person next Wednesday. He has long been interested in Greenland since his first term, but he has escalated his rhetoric since the U.S. operation in Venezuela that led to the arrest of Nicolás Maduro.
