وقال ترمب في تصريح لموقع Politico: «لا يهمني حقًا مشاركة إيران، أعتقد أن إيران دولة مهزومة بشدة، وهي على وشك الانهيار»، في إشارة مباشرة إلى التوترات السياسية والعسكرية المتصاعدة في المنطقة.
