أثار لاعب وسط فريق إنتر ميامي الأمريكي رودريغو دي بول جدلاً واسعاً، بعد مقارنة لافتة بين الدوري الأمريكي لكرة القدم ومسابقة دوري أبطال أوروبا.
وقال دي بول في تصريحات نقلتها صحيفة «ماركا» الإسبانية: «أعتقد أن الفوز بالدوري الأمريكي لكرة القدم أصعب من الفوز بدوري أبطال أوروبا».
نظام المسابقة كلمة السر
وبرر الدولي الأرجنتيني تصريحه بأن نظام الدوري الأمريكي يجبر الفرق على التنافس باستمرار طوال الموسم العادي، ثم خوض مواجهات الإقصاء المباشر، حيث قد يؤدي أي خطأ بسيط إلى الإقصاء.
في المقابل، أشار إلى أن دوري أبطال أوروبا يجمع بين مراحل المجموعات وجولات خروج المغلوب من مباراتين، ما يمنح الفريق الخاسر فرصة للتعويض.
مسيرته مع إنتر ميامي
وكان دي بول قد انضم إلى إنتر ميامي مطلع عام 2025 قادماً من صفوف أتلتيكو مدريد الإسباني على سبيل الإعارة، قبل أن يُفعل النادي الأمريكي بند ضمه نهائياً في ديسمبر الماضي.
ومنذ ذلك الحين، شارك الدولي الأرجنتيني في 27 مباراة، سجل خلالها هدفين وقدم 7 تمريرات حاسمة، وتوج معه بلقب الدوري الأمريكي.

De Paul stated in remarks reported by the Spanish newspaper “Marca”: “I believe that winning Major League Soccer is harder than winning the Champions League.”
The Competition Format is the Key
The Argentine international justified his statement by explaining that the format of Major League Soccer forces teams to compete continuously throughout the regular season, followed by knockout matches, where any small mistake can lead to elimination.
In contrast, he pointed out that the Champions League combines group stages with two-legged knockout rounds, which gives the losing team a chance to recover.
His Journey with Inter Miami
De Paul joined Inter Miami at the beginning of 2025 on loan from Spanish club Atlético Madrid, before the American club activated the clause to sign him permanently last December.
Since then, the Argentine international has participated in 27 matches, scoring two goals and providing seven assists, and he won the Major League Soccer title with the team.
