أعلن رئيس هيئة قناة السويس الفريق أسامة ربيع، عبور سفينة الحاويات العملاقة CMA CGM SEINE، إحدى أكبر سفن الحاويات في العالم، عبر قناة السويس، خلال رحلتها البحرية الأولى عبر القناة ضمن قافلة الشمال قادمة من المغرب ومتجهة إلى ماليزيا.
وبحسب بيان صادر عن هيئة قناة السويس، تتبع السفينة الخط الملاحي الفرنسي CMA CGM، وتعمل ضمن الخدمة الملاحية Fal3 التي تعمل على طريق التجارة بين أوروبا والشرق الأقصى، وتعد أحدث سفن المجموعة حيث تم تسلمها في عام 2025، يبلغ طول السفينة 399 متراً، وعرضها 61.3 متر، وغاطسها 40 قدما، بحمولة كلية 250 ألف طن، وتستطيع أن تحمل على متنها حتى 23876 حاوية.
ووجه رئيس الهيئة باتخاذ كافة التدابير والإجراءات اللازمة لضمان العبور الآمن من خلال تعيين مجموعة من كبار مرشدي الهيئة، وتوفير المساعدات الملاحية من القاطرات المصاحبة، علاوة على المتابعة اللحظية من مكتب الحركة الرئيسي ومحطات الإرشاد الموجودة على طول القناة.
ووفقاً للبروتوكول المتبع من قبل هيئة قناة السويس في التعامل مع السفن التي تعبر القناة لأول مرة، أناب الفريق أسامة ربيع رئيس الهيئة، الربان عبد الرحمن فؤاد شاهين كبير مرشدين أول، والربان سعيد إمام كبير مرشدين أول للصعود على السفينة والترحيب بطاقمها، وتسليم هدية تذكارية لربان السفينة.
وأكد الفريق ربيع أن عودة أكبر وأحدث سفن الحاويات في العالم للعبور من قناة السويس يعكس الثقة في جاهزية ومكانة القناة باعتبارها المسار الأفضل والمستدام لحركة التجارة العالمية المارة بين الشرق والغرب.
وأوضح أن هذه الخطوات الجادة سيكون لها بالغ الأثر في إحداث تغييرات إيجابية في سوق النقل البحري، وحث الخطوط الملاحية الأخرى على تعديل جداول إبحارها واستئناف رحلاتها من منطقة البحر الأحمر وباب المندب مروراً بقناة السويس.
وأشار إلى أن قناة السويس عكفت خلال الفترة الماضية على الارتقاء بمستوى الخدمات البحرية والملاحية المُقدمة واستحداث خدمات جديدة لتلبية متطلبات العملاء وضمان أعلى معايير السلامة البحرية للسفن العملاقة والوحدات البحرية ذات الأبعاد الخاصة.
وشدد رئيس هيئة قناة السويس على أن المجموعة الفرنسية CMA CGMشهدت زيادة في معدلات عبور سفن الحاويات التابعة لها والتي تزيد حمولتها الصافية على 130 ألف طن لتصل إلى 15سفينة منذ ديسمبر الماضي، وذلك من إجمالي 38 سفينة عبرت القناة منذ مايو الماضي مستفيدة من السياسات التسعيرية المرنة التي تنتهجها الهيئة.
The Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority, Lieutenant General Osama Rabie, announced the passage of the giant container ship CMA CGM SEINE, one of the largest container ships in the world, through the Suez Canal during its maiden voyage through the canal as part of the northern convoy coming from Morocco and heading to Malaysia.
According to a statement issued by the Suez Canal Authority, the ship follows the French shipping line CMA CGM and operates under the Fal3 maritime service that facilitates trade between Europe and the Far East. It is the latest ship in the group, having been delivered in 2025, with a length of 399 meters, a width of 61.3 meters, and a draft of 40 feet, with a total capacity of 250,000 tons, and it can carry up to 23,876 containers.
The Chairman directed that all necessary measures and procedures be taken to ensure safe passage by appointing a group of senior pilots from the authority and providing navigational assistance from accompanying tugboats, in addition to real-time monitoring from the main traffic office and the pilot stations located along the canal.
According to the protocol followed by the Suez Canal Authority in dealing with ships that cross the canal for the first time, Lieutenant General Osama Rabie delegated Captain Abdel Rahman Fouad Shaheen, Senior Pilot, and Captain Said Imam, Senior Pilot, to board the ship, welcome its crew, and present a commemorative gift to the ship’s captain.
Lieutenant General Rabie confirmed that the return of the largest and newest container ships in the world to transit the Suez Canal reflects confidence in the readiness and status of the canal as the best and most sustainable route for global trade moving between the East and the West.
He explained that these serious steps will have a significant impact on bringing about positive changes in the maritime transport market and encouraging other shipping lines to adjust their sailing schedules and resume their voyages from the Red Sea and Bab el-Mandeb through the Suez Canal.
He pointed out that the Suez Canal has been working in recent times to enhance the level of maritime and navigational services provided and to introduce new services to meet customer requirements and ensure the highest standards of maritime safety for giant ships and marine units with special dimensions.
The Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority emphasized that the French group CMA CGM has seen an increase in the transit rates of its container ships with a net tonnage exceeding 130,000 tons, reaching 15 ships since last December, out of a total of 38 ships that have crossed the canal since last May, benefiting from the flexible pricing policies adopted by the authority.
