عقّب نائب رئيس نادي أحد السابق عضو الجمعية العمومية فايز عايش الأحمدي على التقرير الذي نشرته «عكاظ» تحت عنوان «أُحد على حافة السقوط»، الذي كشف كواليس انهيار النادي وتضمّن تصريحات سعود الحربي، مؤكداً أن المشكلة لا تكمن في قلة الخبرة لدى المجلس الحالي المؤقت، إذ سبق أن مرّ على النادي أعضاء مجالس إدارات لا يمتلكون خبرة كبيرة، مبيناً أن المشكلة الرئيسية تتمثل في الديون العالية التي خلفتها إدارة الرئيس محمد الجهني، والتي تسببت في وصول النادي إلى وضع أصبح فيه عاجزاً عن مجاراة منافسيه في الدوري، سواء في كرة السلة أو القدم، بسبب رحيل العناصر المميزة في اللعبتين وانتقالهم إلى أندية أخرى بعقود مالية تفوق قدرة نادي أحد.
وأضاف الأحمدي أن حرمان النادي من ميزة الاستعانة بمحترفين أجانب في كرة القدم والسلة نتيجة الاستحقاقات المالية وعدم تسديد مستحقاتهم ضاعف من معاناة الفريقين، مشيراً إلى أن فريق شباب السلة قادر، في حال توفر اللاعبين الأجانب، على البقاء في الدوري الممتاز، كما أن فريقي الناشئين والبراعم في السلة يستعدان للمنافسة في الدوري.
وأوضح أن عدداً من أبناء النادي يشرفون حالياً على فرق السلة ويتمتعون بخبرة لا تقل عمن سبقوهم، إن لم تكن تفوقهم، مستشهداً على الأزمة المالية للنادي باعتذار المهندس عمر الحربي عن قبول رئاسة الإدارة حين عُرضت عليه، بسبب الديون المرتفعة والخزينة الخاوية.
من جهة أخرى، يعمل رجل أعمال من المدينة المنورة على تكوين مجلس إدارة جديد والدخول في معترك الترشح من خلال الجمعية العمومية، في حين طالب عدد من الأحديين عبر منصات التواصل الاجتماعي وزارة الرياضة بالتدخل قبل تفاقم الأمور، بعد أن ظهرت آثار الأزمة المالية من خلال النتائج السلبية لفريقي القدم والسلة.
وفي سياق متصل، تكفّل لاعب أحد الدولي السابق عبدالعزيز الشرقي بتسديد ديون النادي لفريق السلة، مشترطاً تكليف مشرف على اللعبة يتمتع بالخبرة والقدرات اللازمة لإعادة سلة أحد إلى وضعها الطبيعي والمنافسة مجدداً على البطولات.
في المقابل، رفض رئيس النادي خالد رويفد الصاعدي الخطة الإستراتيجية التي وضعها عضوا مجلس الإدارة حازم الصفيري وماجد المطيري، مبرراً ذلك بوجود أسماء لا يرغب في وجودها ضمن الخطة.
The former Vice President of Al-Ahd Club and member of the General Assembly, Fayez Ayesh Al-Ahmadi, commented on the report published by “Okaz” titled “Al-Ahd on the Brink of Collapse,” which revealed the behind-the-scenes details of the club’s downfall and included statements from Saud Al-Harbi. He emphasized that the problem does not lie in the lack of experience of the current temporary board, as the club has previously had board members without significant experience. He pointed out that the main issue is the high debts left by President Mohammed Al-Juhani’s administration, which have caused the club to reach a point where it is unable to compete with its rivals in the league, whether in basketball or football, due to the departure of key players in both sports to other clubs with financial contracts that exceed Al-Ahd Club’s capabilities.
Al-Ahmadi added that the club’s deprivation of the advantage of hiring foreign professionals in football and basketball due to financial obligations and unpaid dues has exacerbated the suffering of both teams. He noted that the youth basketball team is capable of staying in the Premier League if foreign players are available, and that the junior and mini teams in basketball are preparing to compete in the league.
He clarified that several club members are currently supervising the basketball teams and possess experience that is at least equal to, if not greater than, that of their predecessors. He cited the club’s financial crisis as evidenced by Engineer Omar Al-Harbi’s refusal to accept the presidency when it was offered to him, due to the high debts and empty treasury.
On another note, a businessman from Medina is working on forming a new board of directors and entering the race for candidacy through the General Assembly, while several Al-Ahd supporters have called on the Ministry of Sports via social media platforms to intervene before the situation worsens, after the effects of the financial crisis became evident through the negative results of the football and basketball teams.
In a related context, former international player Abdulaziz Al-Sharqi has pledged to pay off the club’s debts for the basketball team, conditional on appointing a supervisor for the game who has the necessary experience and capabilities to restore Al-Ahd’s basketball team to its normal status and compete for championships again.
On the other hand, the club president Khalid Ruwaifid Al-Saadi rejected the strategic plan proposed by board members Hazem Al-Sufairi and Majid Al-Mutairi, justifying this by the presence of names he does not wish to include in the plan.
